Sea Marks

Mt. Hood Repertory Theatre Co.
July 30, 2006; closes August 20, 2006

Most interesting to me about this play was surface tension: competing forces of fluid poetry, constricting plot. That script provided spontaneously for former while latter’s urgency seemed less natural is both weakness, strength (giving familiar story literary wait/weight). Still, two of Portland’s best patiently found genuine moments in couple’s correspondence.

Two good actors who just needed a little bit more chemistry to pull off that story.

Definitely worth seeing. Many good elements.

I liked the sea that flows across the floor.
