My Fair Lady

Portland Center Stage
February 18, 2005

Stripped-down, near concert interpretation laudable in concept, but three-hour metamorphosis unveiled insulting and threadbare old-school book unmotivatingly dressed in stylish but ill-fitting songs. James Brennan was markedly entertaining exception to otherwise obligatory, salon-style performances distanced yet again by PCPA auditorium and PCS’s penchant for monstrous, irrelevant sets and muddy lighting.
