Third Eye Theatre
October 16 - November 21, 2009
Summary:
This play focuses on an Army Captain who is generally content to follow orders and do as he is told. The troop he is in charge of is being sent on missions to bomb Constantinople (not Istanbul) & Minnesota. Why? Just because their orders say so!

Dylan Hillerman's Grand Guignol
Third Eye Theatre
June 26 - August 1, 2009
Review by peanutduck
Pre-intermission plays struggle to activate plot lines that fulfill Grand Guignol’s sexual, violent tradition. Post-intermission plays by David Ian and Ira Kortum thrill as sex, blood, creepiness combine with complexity, psychological depth; and have stronger actors, particularly Kale Arndt. The seductive, coolly aloof Mistress of Ceremonies, Tana Miller, a highlight.

Cannibal! The Musical

July 25 - August 23, 2008
Review by peanutduck
Cannibal!, by South Park’s Trey Parker, is cannibalism deficient and generally lacks that SP imaginativeness, which could have made this wonderfully camp. The amateurish production interprets bad singing, dancing as all that’s needed for a spoof. But it just makes this show bad, and not bad enough to be good.

Buried Child
Third Eye Theatre
Posted by Followspot March 22, 2007; closes April 14, 2007
This script won a Pulitzer? Perhaps the nearly-30 years since has stilted its stun. Production has traces of hope, but complexity thinned, tone flat. What’s missing is ultimately what’s compelling, for audience and characters: What ties these people here and now, saying what they’re saying; more importantly, silent and immobile?
