Henry IV Part II

Northwest Classical Theatre Co.
October 23 - November 22, 2009

Part of a larger narrative of the rise of the House of York, both parts of Henry IV focus on the disintegration of King Henry of Bolingbroke's kingdom, family, and body while he strives to atone for his usurpation of the throne of his cousin Richard II.

What to say? I enjoyed some parts of the show. I think the inherent nature of the show makes it feel like a series of scenes and not a full show. Overall strong performances by Chris Porter, Butch Flowers, Melissa Whitney, Tom Walton, & Rhianna.

Can anyone explain the cowboy costumes to me? I don't get it.

. . . Presumably to show that Gloucstershire is in the sticks.
