**Spoiler alert*
In its lush Technicolor the production lingers, culminating in this: The father (Michael Fisher-Welsh), family man and profiteer in war manufacture, denies, justifies, then finally, acknowledges his fatal complicity. Abruptly, it penetrates: we are held by such persons - strong, fallible, mere individuals made heroes; and that realization is terrifying.

This production is absolutely brilliant! Such a powerful performance tonight. I'm sure it will only get better.
I saw this show Wednesday night and was completely blown away. The performances offered in this production are of the best I've seen in Portland for many years and this is among the finest of A.R.T. productions I've seen...ever! Mr. Fisher-Welsh's portrayal of Joe Keller is filled with subtle nuance and devastating irony, certainly a master class for any Portland actor. I encourage all who have not seen this performance not to miss it...amazing and brilliant!
