bobrauschenbergamerica

Portland Playhouse
April 2 - 26, 2009

Summary:

A feisty variety show in 43 scenes, bobrauschenbergamerica is a celebration, not only of collage artist Bob Rauschenberg, who revealed the beauty in everyday objects ranging from an angora goat to pop bottles, but of the irrepressibly wonder-full, inventive, and terrifyingly contradictory and destructive identity and history that is America.

Wow.

The most fun I've had in a theater in ages.

$5 off tickets this weekend if you purchase by Friday (4/10). Online code is "bob." If you drink beer, the cost is pretty much negated...

What a great show.

I left this show smiling and happy. Not really sure why - it's not a schmaltzy feel-good family show or anything, but it just makes you happy somehow. It's just fun.

I don't know what to say, really. I just enjoyed it.

Delight, indeed.
