Lights down on catacombs and wispy ghosts of London; lights up on ominous minor-key Wassail and Mead Hunter’s wry, alliterative adaptation. Stop. Enter Spirits…and PCS’s knee-jerk talent squandering, descent into buffoonery, pandering. Scrooge’s (Wesley Mann) seemingly immediate seduction by Spirits renders Present and Future unnecessary. Strong ensemble; sweetly melancholic staging.
