This Is Our Youth

All the grit, grime and coke of a privileged Manhattan childhood in the early 1980’s. Lonergan reveals adolescent emptiness and longing beneath profane surface noise of the in crowd. Complicated, touching chemistry between top dog Dennis, minion Warren, and Upper East doll Jessica, though key NYC Jewish element is incomplete.

Did anybody even see this show besides us? It was like a will-o-the-wisp, you only had time to spot it before it raced off into the night. Yet just this morning I met a young lady who's a participant in the PCS Teen Intensive, and she gushed on and on about this incredible piece of theater she saw where she got to sit within the characters' living room and exist in their world....she was totally excited about a new vision of theater for herself, and yep, it was YOUTH. Cool, eh?

It is curious that a show this good had almost no publicity. Then again, it was already mostly sold out in the small space.
