“Delightful comic opera by the Viennese composer Otto Nicolai uses the rollicking tale by Shakespeare—set in 1950s suburban America in this production—to expose the folly of men.” Well, this will be something new for me, but I’ll still miss good ol’ Gilbert-and-Sullivan done in good ol’ Gilbert-and-Sullivan way.
