Twelfth Night

Often the difficulty for contemporary audiences to connect with Shakespeare’s native voice is less vocabulary or voluminous oration, and more self-reverential poetic cadence. In other words, sing-song Shakespeare erases plot, motivation, conflict, humor. Luckily, this cast has Deirdre Atkinson, who offers clear, unaffected interpretation of Viola/Cesario that actually makes sense.
