Man of La Mancha

Lakewood Theatre Company
September 10, 2004

Deserved standing ovation to director Greg Tamblyn and company for solid, well-staged, well-fit production about Cervantes/Don Quixote (admirable Leif Norby) and Aldonza/Dulcinea (seductive Pam Mahon). Also outstanding: Glenn Gauer’s sculptural dungeon set, Kurt Herman’s deeply dimensional lighting. Rare, pleasing synergy left me singing, literally—but, please, never hide live musicians.
