Intermission, or Time to Relieve Myself of a Little Pith

One month, 19 shows into the season and thus far Stumptown’s talent is being held hostage by a mediocracy. Irrelevant titles steal marquees, long-dead musicals divorce live musicians, designers get no props, and concept shuns context. To me, the weakest link in Portland’s theatre scene may just be the producers.
