Well-worn encounter between girl’s eccentric but common family and her fiancé’s conservative, snooty counterparts should lead to buoyant and snappy chaos, but prosaic stage business and flat pacing thins the lunacy of this American classic comedy to the point of mere pleasantries. Noteworthy: outstandingly thorough, attractive set by Stephen Kelsey.
