so is this a radio like show? no acting just reading from the script?

Not sure how to respond to this. Would the folks at Willamette Radio Theater like to talk about the idea that a "radio like show" doesn't contain any actual acting?
I mean radio shows are just "reading from the script" right?
Sorry if I'm appear to be mocking you, Anonymous 12/09 but WOW!

Here is the full text of the press release:

This holiday production puts Public Playhouse’s own spin on Jean Shephard's story of 9 year-old Ralphie's quest to get a genuine Red Ryder Model Air Rifle under the tree for Christmas. This unique multimedia presentation features radio style staging, video animation and a gifted cast, including sound effects by Live-Wire's own Siren of Sound, Pat Janowski and the many talented voices of local voice-over artist, Mary McDonald-Lewis. All the elements from the beloved motion picture are here: exploding furnaces; school bullies; the experiment with a tongue on a frozen pole; Santa Claus at Goldblatt's Department Store; the Little Orphan Annie decoder pin; "You'll shoot your eye out!"; and of course, the oh-so-famous leg lamp.

The show has been set in a 1970’s radio station, and to add to the fun, a drawing will be held each night for 2 free tickets to Public Playhouse’s March production, “Heroes,” featuring Tobias Andersen. Audience members dressed in their best 70’s costumes, will be entered into the drawing. Put on your funkiest, far out threads and join in the fun!
