Portland Center Stage

Review by peanutduck
1980. Mt. St. Helens explodes; precocious Timmy aspires to live in the Playboy mansion. Remaining characters are similarly wacky – always a Zagone strength, along with keen wit – but wackiness isn’t fueling dramatic action - play stagnates through repetitious dialogue, overextended schtick; volcanic eruption only an inconsequential backdrop for ash jokes.
