LaBute’s heavy-handed, whack-a-mole assault on fattist prejudice bares onstage that which probably lurks in dirty corners of your mind. Direction of dynamic, even riveting cast both unflinchingly thrusts play’s nastiness in your face while simultaneously gently unfolding lovers’ fumbling relationship; a disconcerting combination. Wished for fuller commitment to characters’ cruelties.
