Love’s haunted underside - dreams, longing, secrets - Lowry territory. Mind’s bedroom sweetly evoked through frame of shimmering curtains; multi-leveled cubic cavern. Lowry’s playwriting foray, her book’s adaptation, is a book-reading; dreamgivers’ landscape exposited. Sinisteeds’ (nightmare-givers) dramatic potential wasted; wonder if result of director or author’s choices. Actors inexplicably condescending.
