Dream Girls at the Firehouse?! The venue just doesn't mesh with the production. Needs a big stage with lot's of glitz/glamour. Mouser is lucky to get the rights but the his theatre with kill thi show production. He's better off sticking smaller/off-bway types of shows.

Have they announced that Dreamgirls will be at the IFCC? Grease worked there so I have hope for this show although I am hoping they will find a better venue.

FYI - I saw on the back of the Grease program that Dreamgirls will not be directed by Kirk Mouser but it will be directed by Gary Cash. I believe he's the guy who played Kinicke (sp?) in Stumptown's first run of Grease.

Stumptown doing "Godspell" and "Dreamgirls"? Awesome!

With PCS doing "Cabaret" and "The Little Dog Laughed," ART doing "A Streetcar Named Desire," "The History Boys," "Rabbit Hole," and "House and Garden," and now with Stumptown's upcoming season, it looks like Portland is in for an extraordianary year of theatre!
