What worked so well here was how refreshingly underplayed these sophisticated women’s monologues were – delivered with tender restraint rooted in one-to-one reality. Indistinct, ultimately inconsequential, through-line; didn’t quite grasp “other woman” thread. Nevertheless, strong sense of feminine individuality. Perfectly fitting – and flattering – lighting by Adam Saucy: clearly dimensional, dramatically uncluttered.
