'Word of mouth is always the ultimate critic.'

from Time Out New York December 7, 2006

"Everyone’s a critic, but some professional reviewers have the power to shape NYC culture—and for the first time, these tastemakers have been rated by the artists and industry insiders who know them best ... grading, on a scale of one-to-six, using five categories: knowledge, style, taste, accessibility and influence."

Well, imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, this does beg the question... how do Portland critics rank? You wanna do the Surveymonkey survey FS? Or should I? :)

heheh - well since this site may well be included, it's probably best if I weren't the one conducting the survey ... go for it, if you want, HP -- you can post the link here if you like.
