Interesting development in Portland’s musical theatre community: short-lived explosion of cabaret a couple years ago has segued into chorus of concert theatre productions, including Secret Garden (starring Katie Harman) and Hair. I’m curious, though: Is this an artistic choice? An economic choice? Or simply the reality of everyone’s busy schedules?
