So you actually read this thing, huh?

Followspot today surpasses 10,000 visitors a little more than a year after launched as clever time-capsule documenting my journey through local Portland theatre. Who knew you’d actually read me, quote me in The O, and use me to post love-notes to actors? I’m curious, however: Are y’all audience? or industry?

I'm industry . . and part time audience I read your blog religiously! Your observations are spot on!

Industry... I too check in on a regular basis. I can't get out to see as much as you do, but I would say I agree with your observations 3/4 of the time.

Industry. We've interacted with each other a number of times, actually.

Industry here as well, and usually very opinionated. I think you could be harder on some of these productions, but agree with you 85% of the time.

Industry and occasional audience.

Industry and audience both. Thanks for doing this blog!

Industry... you're, shall I say, infamous among us...

Industry, Dude. But you knew that.

a little of both for me, and i agree with a lot of your observations...

Both. Say, something that would make my visits to your blog nicer: Include the number of comments to each entry rather than just "Comments". I've seen other blogs which do that -- it saves time & bandwidth (that is, not clicking on links that have not changed). Thank you!

To Anonymous 5:37: Thanks for the feedback. I originally had the # of comments turned off because I got depressed looking at all the "0 comments" ... but now that there is more dialogue happening, I'm happy to turn it back on. Hope you find it useful. Thanks for reading..

I am an actor here in Portland (somehow I really don't think most of us earn enough doing this to call ourselves "Industry"). I think this is a very interesting, informative, fun site. Thanks.

How much do you have to earn to be industry? Is it a city wide thing or do people who make x grand a year feel more industrial?

X GRAND????

INDUSTRY
Noun 1: the people or companies engaged in a particular kind of commercial enterprise.

I'd say that covers quite a bit of us; except for Nathan, 'cause he passed out at the notion of X Grand.

say does anyone know where pcs is going to stage "west side story" in sept. since the armory will not be done in time -- and may not be done this year even?
