2005-2006 Season (preview)

New ’Couv theatre presents Cover Shot by Portland artist/playwright Ted Savinar, a new musical Road Rage, “mature” holiday The Humbug Review, dark comedy The Ice Fishing Play, Martin and Hieronymous, in which Martin Luther hallucinates himself inside the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, and more. How curious… but so far away.

You don't need a passport to visit Vancouver USA. Your "curious" comment make it seem like "The Couve" is in some far away distant foreign country.

You might be "curious" to know that 72% of our audience for the first show Cover Shot came from Portland. Do you think they are on to something?

It is frankly a lot easier to zip up I-205 or if you dare up I-5 just across the Columbia to find the downtown location of Arts Equity (one block from the new Hilton Hotel) than it is to try and fight the traffic and parking in downtown Portland. The welcome mat is always out here for theatre goers who want to see something "curiously different." Something you won't see anywhere else in the greater metro area.

"The Couve" has become a livable downtown, with great places to live and work, a growing arts community, lower taxes and better schools. Of course I'm bias, I moved out of Portland 15 years ago.
