African-American sisters face feminism, racism, miscegenation, pride and freedom in struggle to survive 1898 West. First-act exposition was uneven and ungainly, but second half conflict paid off with numerous emotive moments. Stronger direction with lighter hand might’ve yielded greater power from more introspective performances. Good show with potential for more.
