Frothy, pithy bon mots batted about erudite Roaring ’20s lunch literati (dubbed Algonquin Round Table) played delightfully droll, finding happy middle-ground that’s neither boring Biography Channel documentary nor trashy E! True Hollywood expose. Fine ensemble work fleshed out amusing, though contrived string of one-liners. Shy of exceptional, but well done.
