Sowelu Theater

First, an all-female cast heavily engages military lock-down to wrestle with feminist issues; then, an equally imaginative, more buoyant all-male cast finds asylum in schizophrenia. Individually, these contrasting variations of same peculiar one-act wouldn’t excel; but played back-to-back, they make an explicit showcase of directors’ conceptual invention. Worth seeing both.
