Middling production of SNL-like presidential sketch cut up laughs with odd slice of seriousness that forced ungainly ending. Though the sharp, impersonable cast could sing, weak songs seemed pointless interjections, and W’s own misspeaks merely second-hand skewering rather than fresh stabs at lampoon. Fun for politicos; sad for the country.
