Uncle Vanya

Imago Theatre
October 1, 2004

As expected: Slow to pick up steam, long in self-analysis, with modern translation that failed to reflect its culture. Walls swinging into place, then falling flat was a clever set design idea, but I don’t know what the effect, repeated for each act, contributed to the play. Only for diehards.
