Returning to original, macabre Brothers Grimm stories offered great potential for theatrical invention with undercurrents of mature themes (think Into the Woods). This aimless attic production, however, is reminiscent of homespun first-grade recitals, but with less charm, even for kids. Oddly-shaped performance space also forced clumsy, too-close-for-comfort staging. Not recommended.
